Solar energy school to power up soon August 2013


Renewable energy is the talk of the town in Kaiwaka.

The unique transition town will be home to the Renewable Energy School of New Zealand (RESONZ) due to open in January.

Environmental engineer Eric Jansseune says the school will open by hosting the Northland Solar Energy Conference in September.

"I know many people who struggle to pay their energy bill. The conference will show people how they can change that using renewable energy."
